Lübeck-Travemünder Golf-Klub von 1921 e.V. – a golf course with view on the Baltic Sea
A challenge to play but fair
The Lübeck-Travemünder Golf-Klub was founded in 1921. It is one of the oldest golf clubs in Germany. The 27-hole-course is situated above the steep coast of Brodten (a village near Travemünde). The spacious championship-course covers an area of 130 ha. From various points there’s an amazing view reaching as far as the coast line of Schleswig-Holstein and Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. The Lübeck-Travemünder Golf-Klub is proud to have one of the most beautiful driving-ranges in Germany located directly above the steep coast with a magnificent view over the Baltic Sea.
A versatile course is offered to the golfer. Broad fairways alternate with small woods reminding to parks, water obstacles and well placed bunkers are a challenge for golfers of all handicaps.
For more than 50 years the Travemünde Golf-Week is organized each year in July. Golfers compete for traditional awards which are popular for decades. Guests are always welcome to play at the Lübeck-Travemünder Golf-Klub. In addition to the 27-hole-course there is also a short 6-hole-course, a public course, where players can improve their own practice. Two spacious practice greens and a pitch and chip ground offer the opportunity to improve in short techniques. Three qualified PGA-professionals, one of them being a proette, offer various possibilities of training for beginners as well as for advanced players. This training is supported by a modern video-installation. A well assorted pro-shop completes the offer.
A high quality restaurant, the restaurant “Neunzehn”, offers exceptional and delicious meals. The newly-built club house is ready, offering state of the art facilities which guests and members can expect to feel relaxed in comfortable surroundings.
