The Hanseatic City of Lübeck has a good traffic connection with the airport at Blankensee some 12 kms south of the Old Town. Travel to the inner city from this airport and vice versa takes just 20 minutes and is very convenient. Bus-shuttle transfers for feeder services from and to every European airport can be arranged. The airport, which is equipped with the ILS-System, is extremely versatile and even large jets such as a Airbus 310 or the Boeing 737 can be handled smoothly. Charter flights from every european airport to and from Lübeck-Blankensee can be offered on request. Daily Ryan Air services from and to London, Stockholm, Milan, Augsburg and Cologne are available.

Historic Market at the Rathausmarkt
Nostalgic activities in the market with the motto "shop with leisure', enjoy yourself, communicate with each other the way out grandparents did. Arts and crafts of the turn of the century will be shown and sold. A stage for folkloric performances will be set up, market women and vendors in old costumes show their wares, e. g. basket-weaver, potter, blacksmith, rope-maker, brush-maker and glass-blower etc.

Folk and Remembrance Festival -Amusement fair with Festival Procession through the Old Town. The traditional "folk-festival" offers the guests a fair full of enjoyment. Showmen of different kind promise fun and entertainment and food and drink are available at many stands. Each Sunday after the start a procession of colorful decorated wagons and music groups moves through the historic Old Town.

Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival
For six weeks in summer world-famous artists and outstanding young musicians from all over the world will play classical music in Lübeck and at different places in the State of Schleswig-Holstein.
Travemünde Week
International sailing regatta, major yachting evont on the Baltic sea / Lübeck Bay. Sailing, art and music from all over the world meet at Travemünde.
Duckstein Festival
Every year in August the Duckstein Festival takes place between the Congress Center and the SAS Radisson Hotel. Entertainment on a special stage on the Trave river guarantees interesting amusement and special food is served at various catering stations.
Sandworld Festival
Every year from mid July until beg. of September the Sandworld Sandsculpture Festival takes place on the Travemünde Priwall beach. More than 70 international artists are modelling impressive sculptures up to 10 meters height only made of sand.
The Baltic Sail Festival
Baltic Sail - The Baltic Sail Festival, where people get together, are colourful. The programme contains harbour concerts, fireworks, sport-competitions, exhibitions, rescue shows, food and drinks, maritime art and much more for everyone.

Lübeck Old Town Festival
Hustle and bustle with music, dance, entertainers, food and drink in the historic Old Town. Every second year (2004/2006) the Hanseatic City of Lübeck celebrates its festival.
